Directly age standardised rates per 100,000 European standard population of new cases of all cancers, excluding NMSC (C00-C43, C45-C96) 2011.

Numerator: NCRI, 2011
Denominator: Population, 2011

Non-melanoma skin cancers are excluded in the figures.  (Usually when NCRI quote figures for all invasive cancers combined, non-melanomas (NMSC, C44) are excluded as (1) although invasive, they are generally regarded as not being significant cancers and (2) many registeries do not collect information on NMSC).

Date data covers:
01/01/2011 to 31/12/2011

Indicator numerator:
Number of new cases of cancer including Non-melanoma skin cancers

Indicator denominator:

Cautionary notes:
Please note that these figures should only be regarded as estimates really as 2011 data is still not completely geocoded (as of 21 July 14. Some records were not geocoded to a precise ED and other cases were only allocated to an area defined by a group of EDs. However as the numbers of manually geocoded cases were fairly small in terms of percent of all records, it is unlikely that this will affect the figures to a significant degree.
